Adam S. Magyar, 34, of Milton, NH and formerly of Effingham, NH, died on December 8, 2017 at his home.
Born in Haverhill, son of Jeffrey W. Magyar and Sharon A. (Caillouette) Magyar, he was raised and educated in Plaistow, NH, attending Pollard School and Timberlane Regional High School. He was a self-employed carpenter and worked for several local contractors including Glenn Builders, Conway, NH and Halsey Builders, Portsmouth, N.H. He was a member of the American Patriots III (APIII%).
An accomplished artist, he excelled in drawing and sketching. Mr. Magyar also enjoyed farming, gardening, working around his home, hunting, fishing, rock mining and collecting quartz crystals.
He is survived by his life companion and mother of his children, Janine M. McLean; two sons, Joseph A. Magyar and Johnathan J. Magyar, both of Milton, N.H.; his father, Jeffrey W. Magyar and his longtime companion, Karen Conley of Cape Elizabeth, ME; his mother, Sharon A. (Caillouette) Magyar of Derry; three brothers, Alex K. Magyar and his husband, Jake Sugerman of Dedham, MA, Joshua J. Magyar of Freedom, N.H., and Jacob D. Magyar of Stratham, N.H.; his maternal grandmother, Judy A. (Mitchell) Caillouette of Milton, N.H.; his paternal grandmother, Sherry (Bowen) Chard and her husband, Bill of Portland, ME; his paternal grandfather, Stephen Magyar and his partner, Sandy of Middleboro, MA and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph Caillouette.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
