He was born and educated in Patillas, Puerto Rico, to Pedro Clavijo and Modesta Santiago on May 17, 1937. He worked for over 30 years as a Machinist at Malden Mills until his retirement.
He is the husband of the late Margarita Gonzalez, and is also survived by his former wife Norma I. Santiago (mother of all his children) of Lawrence; son, Adrian C. Santiago Jr. and his wife Lissette of Haverhill; daughters, Nancy Santiago of Methuen, Marilyn Clavijo and her partner Reynaldo Martinez of North Andover, and Wanda E. Clavijo of Lawrence; as well as 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. One brother Ernesto Laboy of Lawrence; and four sisters of Puerto Rico; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Rafael Clavijo; also two brothers; and one sister.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill St., Lawrence, MA 01841. A burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass.
