Albert H.'s Story

Albert H. Taylor, 90, formerly of North Andover died November 21, 2017 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill.
Mr. Taylor was born on March 20, 1927 in Lawrence, MA to the late Alexander and Annie (Bushnell) Taylor. He attended Johnson High, receiving his diploma from the Lawrence Evening School in March 1944. He joined the war effort at 17 with special permission from his parents and served in The U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. Most of his working career was with Massachusetts Electric (National Grid). He enjoyed driving excursions, bowling, and spending time with his family at Salisbury Beach.
Al is survived by his wife, Patricia K. (Flathers) Taylor formerly of North Andover as well as his children; Kathleen P. Taylor, Marie Benson and her husband, Dr. William T. Benson, and James E. Taylor, all of Haverhill. He is also survived by his grandsons, William A., Matthew J. and Joseph P. Benson, brother, Paul Taylor of North Andover, and several nieces and nephews.

Al was predeceased by his brother, James Taylor and wife, Dorothy of Methuen; brother, Alexander (Ted) Taylor and his wife, Marjorie of Salem, N.H.; sister, Dorothy Taylor and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Taylor both of North Andover.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, MA 01845. A funeral service will be held also at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with a burial to follow in Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
Al’s family would like to thank the staff of Hannah Duston’s Bradford Unit for the wonderful care and comfort they gave him.
