METHUEN, MA - Alfred "Fred" Viti, 92, of Methuen, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, after a brief illness. He was born in Methuen, on May 5, 1925, the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Pavone) Viti.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, Mass., attended local schools, and worked in the Lawrence Mills his entire adult life. He was a homebody, who enjoyed time with family, especially during the holidays. Fred also loved going for walks and fishing. He entertained his family with great fishing tales, and also enjoyed watching the fisherman along the river. He was a great man to be around, and will be dearly missed.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary (Zappala) Viti, of Methuen. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
