Angelo's Story

DERRY, NH- Angelo P. Campisi, 84, of Derry, N.H., passed away at home on February 22, 2018.
He was born, raised, and educated in Waltham, Mass. to his hardworking parents, the late Salvatore and Josephine (Chiaramida) Campisi on July 5, 1933. A proud retired US Air Force Veteran, Angelo served in an honorable career that spanned nearly four decades and travelled the world many times over. Angelo was well known for his great sense of humor and was an avid outdoorsman who cherished his time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching sports and old westerns. Angelo and his wife were married in a simple ceremony in Las Vegas in 1973, and settled in Montana. After spending 31 years in Montana, they moved to New Hampshire to be closer to their family. Angelo touched many lives in many different circles and will forever be fondly cherished, loved and missed.
Angelo is the beloved father to his three step-children; his daughter, Marie Rubino of Methuen, his son, Reginald Frechette and his wife, Janice of Lawrence; and his daughter, Michelle Rubino and her husband Frank of Methuen. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Angelo is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years of marriage, Bernice (Pappalardo) Campisi, who he lovingly cared for during her struggle with Alzheimer's until her passing in 2015. He was also predeceased by his five siblings; Orlando Campisi, Joseph Campisi, Constance Campisi, Eleanor MacInnis, and Yolanda Young.
Visitation for Angelo will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Inurnment to follow at St Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Angelo's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. The Kenneth H.
