Anna E.'s Story
Anna E. (Crucius) Page, 96, a resident of Methuen, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 5, 1921, in Lawrence to Otto W. and Anna M. (Froehlich) Crucius. She was educated in Methuen local schools. She owned and operated Page Sandwich Company in Methuen also Page Brothers Restaurant in Hampton Beach for over 20 years with her husband, Gerard. Anna loved the Christmas holiday season in which she hosted many Christmas Eve Open Houses with family and friends. She also was famous for Kuchen (German Pastry). Her whole life was her family in raising her granddaughters and helping with her great-grandchildren. Anna was a long time Parishioner of St. Lucy's Parish in Methuen.
Wife of the late Gerard J.Page, she is survived by her daughter, Nancy E. Godbout of Methuen; and two granddaughters, Lisa Page of Methuen and Beth Page of Methuen; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Brianda, Aaliyah, Arianna, Jesslyn, Andru, and Patrick; her sister, Esther Gale of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert J. Page; brothers, Henry Crucius, Herbert Crucius; and her sister, Gertrude Gladue.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at from 3 to 7 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA 01845. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 18, 2017, at 9 a.m. in Saint Lucy’s Church in Methuen. Her burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
