Anna Lois's Story
GROVELAND - Anna Lois (Harris) Cooper, 91, of Groveland, died Tuesday morning, January 16, at Country Center for Health and Rehab, Newburyport.
She was born in Medford, December 8, 1926, daughter of the late John and Ruth (Cole) Harris.
Mrs. Cooper was educated in the Saugus school system and, upon graduating, attended acting school in New York for two years.
Prior to moving to Groveland in 1969, she resided in Beverly, Melrose and Southern New Hampshire.
An avid birdwatcher, she was a member of both the Brookline Bird Club as well as the Massachusetts Audubon.
She was the wife of the late William P. Cooper, Jr. and mother of the late Daniel Cooper and Michael Cooper.
Her survivors include a son, William P. Cooper and his wife, Greta of Barre; a sister, Selma Gould of Kingston, N.H.; her significant other, Douglas Chickering of Groveland; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Cooper of Machias, Maine; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
