Anthony F.'s Story
Anthony F. Padvaiskas, age 84, a resident of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday September 13, after a brief illness.
Born in Methuen, he was raised in both Methuen and Lawrence. Anthony graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar School and attended Lawrence High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1950, serving through the Korean War.
Anthony was a retired laborer out of Lowell Local Labor Union 429 and was a proud union member.
Anthony served as President of the Knights of Lithuania, representing his church and the people of St Francis of Assisi Parish in Lawrence, which meant so much to him.
Anthony was most proud of his family, his camp at the lake, and being a Marine.
“Always faithful, there is no such thing as an ex-Marine. Semper Fidelis.”
Anthony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Ann (Corey) Padvaiskas, five children, Claire, Nancy, John, Teresa, and Anthony, Jr. and their loving spouses. The apple of his eye was his “favorite” granddaughter, Johnna. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
