Carolyn A.'s Story
Carolyn (Tellefsen) Prescott, age 77, died November 18, 2017 at the Wingate Nursing Home, following a long battle with heart disease.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late Tellef G. and Vivian A. (Levine) Tellefsen, she attended local schools before moving to Georgetown Massachusetts and graduating from Perley High School in 1958. She was employed at Chesterton in Groveland for many years retiring in 1998. She was very proud of the work that she did there and received an award for her dedication to customer service. After retirement she volunteered at the Haverhill Council on Aging, where she served as a receptionist. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking annual trips to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. She enjoyed skiing, the beach and passed that love on to her children. She enjoyed traveling and was excited to go sightseeing in Germany when her youngest son was stationed there while serving the United States Air Force, and visited Liechtenstein, Holland and many other areas. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending their school and athletic events. She liked a good game of scrabble, cribbage, and (being from New England) 45s. Always up for an adventure, she looked forward to the many trips to the coast of Maine, Cape Cod, and New Hampshire with her sister-in-law, Elcena. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard A. Prescott, she is survived by her children, Barry of Atlanta, GA, Robert and his wife JoEllen of Coon Rapids, MN, her daughter, Vicky Mosher and her husband, Gerard of Haverhill with whom she lived, grandchildren, Erik, Tyler and Addison Prescott, Peter and Daniel Desmarais, Sarah Couch and her husband Jake. A special thanks to the Wingate @ Haverhill for the wonderful love and care they shared with our mom.
