Cecile "Sis" (Dubois)'s Story
Cecile (Dubois) "Sis" Wholley age 81 of Methuen, died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home in Methuen.
Sis was born in Lawrence, MA, where she grew up and was educated. She was a resident of Methuen for the past 40 years, formerly of North Andover.
Sis was a retired office manager for IT Roberts Auto Body in Lawrence. She had also worked for the IRS in Andover. She was very active for many years with the Festival of Trees in Methuen. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, investigative crime shows, and was an avid Celtics fan. She also faithfully prayed the Rosary before bed.
Sis was the daughter of the late Elphage and Amanda (Demers) Dubois, She was predeceased by her stepmother, Ida (Levesque) Dubois, sisters, Rita Dubois, and Yvonne Arakelian, and her brothers, Aime, George and Roland Dubois.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Alfred Wholley of Methuen, MA. Her sons Mark S. and his wife, Amy Wholley of Pelham, NH, and Kevin J. and his wife Luisa Wholley of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Samantha, John, Liam, and Finn; her sisters, Blanche Levesque of Salem, N.H., Yvette McKinney of Bradford, MA, Anna Dubois of Groveland and Sister Alice Dubois of Canada. Her longtime best friend, Emma Curtis of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 21st from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, N.H.
