David James Orlando passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, Mary, and family members on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from complications due to diabetes.
David resided in Lawrence, Mass., with his wife, Mary, their dog, Tippy O., and cat, Stevie O. He was a kind and loving soul who loved his family above all. David enjoyed many hobbies including photography, writing poetry, calligraphy, reading Steven King novels, skiing, and listening to classic rock and roll.
David is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Anzaldi) Orlando; his sister, Joyce (Orlando) Fenner, and bother-in-law, Robert Fenner of Virginia; his sister, Nancy A. (Orlando) O’Neil and brother-in-law, Gary M O’Neil; his three step-children, Michael Deshaies and wife, Brenda, Albert Deshaies Jr. and wife, Doreen, and Sherri Deshaies; his five grandchildren, Marissa Deshaies, Jessica Poirier, Rebecca Deshaies, Dillon Deshaies, and Victoria Deshaies; his nephew, Captain Benjamin J. Rogan; and niece, Erin (Rogan) Henry; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his mother, Eileen M. (Ford) Orlando, and father, The Honorable Reno J. Orlando of North Andover, Mass. We are sure he has joined his beloved cat, Kitty O, at rainbow bridge and they are happy together.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. at The Marsh Corner Community Church, 317 Pelham Street, Methuen, MA. All are welcome to join the family for a luncheon directly following the service in the meeting room at the Church.
