BURLINGTON, MA - David was born in Woburn, Mass., the son of Philip S. and Dorothy Rodden Park. He attended school in Wilmington. He left before graduating high school and later earned his GED in the Marines.
David served three tours in Vietnam. He was in Co.B, 1stBN, 8thMar., 2nd Mar. Div., FMF, Camp Lejuene, NC., plus ACTCo., 2dITR, MCB, Camp Pendleton, Calif. He served 10 years in the Marines. He eared the RVN Cross of Gallantry w/Palm and Frame, a Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam service medal, Sharpshooter Rifle and Sharpshooter Pistol. He also received three Purple Hearts.
David is survived by his children, Tammy, Cynthia and David Park Jr.; plus his brothers, Robert A. Park of Andover, Mass., Philip S. Park Jr. (Laurette) of Windham, N.H., Thomas W. Park of Chelmsford, Mass., Kenneth D. Park (Nancy) of Pittsfield, N.H., and Lloyd L. Park (Patricia) of Sarasota, Fla.; sisters, Marjorie L. Belloir of Andover, Mass., Ruth P. Fuss, Evergreen Park, Ill., and Pauline S Park, Phoenix, Ariz.; plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis D. Morse, Beverly "Ann" Briggs, Shirley L. Bower, Martha Park Rice, Priscilla J. and Nancy E. Park; and brothers, Richard W., Ronald E., William M., Allen R., and Baby Edward Park.
His service will be private at the NH Veterans Cemetery.
