David's Story

PRINCETON - David K. Stanwood, 55, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Leominster Hospital, after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife, Julie A. (Johnson) Stanwood; one son, Shaun Stanwood and his wife Sara of Tewksbury; one daughter, Stefanie Stanwood of Princeton; three grandchildren, Violet Kobel of Princeton, Sofia Stanwood and Ethan Stanwood both of Tewksbury; four brothers, Vayne Stanwood, Roy Stanwood, Alan Stanwood and Ronnie Stanwood; two sisters Vera Stanwood and Cynthia Stanwood; and several nieces and nephews.
David was born in Methuen, on July 25, 1962, a son of the late Vayne and Marion (Parsons) Stanwood. He worked as a Sexton for South Church in Andover for several years and had also been working as a custodial manager.
He had a great passion for fishing, camping, bird watching and gardening. He loved the outdoors and the natural world. David was also an artist and created structures made of wood, sticks and found objects. David will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 4 p.m. in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home,123 Main Street, Westminster.
Burial will be private. Calling hours will be on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home prior to the funeral.
