Jacksonville, Fl - Debra (Greenwood) Lavallee, age 64, passed away in Jacksonville, Fla. on July 6, 2018.
Debra was born on October 12, 1954 in Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of the late Russell and Florence Greenwood. After attending the Haverhill school system, she worked with developmentally challenged adults in the Merrimack Valley area and later at the former Bailey Corporation in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
After residing in Newton, N.H. most of her adult life, she and her husband, the late DJ Lavallee, purchased and lived on a boat for several years before moving to Jacksonville, Fla. in retirement. She was an accomplished yachtsman and often navigated the Atlantic coast - her second home. When on land she enjoyed gardening and landscaping of all types. Debra left behind countless beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of many. Debra’s happiest and proudest moments were spent with her three grandchildren – Brianna, Julianne, and Joseph.
In addition to her grandchildren, Debra is survived by her children, Joel Lavallee and his wife Suzanne of Newton, N.H.; daughter, Renee Luna and her husband Milton of Jacksonville; sister, Cindy Parker and her husband James of Haverhill; brother, Russell Greenwood of Haverhill; brother Norman Greenwood and his wife, Bernadette, of Haverhill, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brothers, Richard and Sonny Greenwood.
Services will be announced at a later date.
