Dennis P.'s Story
Dennis P. Cooper, 77, of North Andover, died November 25, 2017, at the Nevins Nursing Center in Methuen after a long and courageous battle from Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born July 25, 1940, in Winthrop, Mass., to the late Joseph Douglas James and Gertrude D. (Pryor) Cooper.
Dennis attended Northeastern University and Penn State Graduate School for Chemical Engineering. After many years of working in the field and countless business trips around the world, Dennis retired in 2010. Upon retirement, he enjoyed walking, reading, spending time with friends and most of all, being with his beloved daughter, Ellen.
Dennis was the widower of the late Pauline (Moloney) Cooper who died in 1988 and is survived by his beloved daughter, Ellen (Cooper) Michaud of North Andover; his brother, Stephen Douglas Cooper and his wife, Fran of Andover, Mass.; his nephew, Douglas Joseph Cooper of Andover; his sister, Judie (Cooper) Dembicki and her husband, Harry of Charleston, S.C.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, MA 01845.
A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
