PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA - It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Tremblay announces his passing after long-term treatment for cancer. Don passed away on February 27th, 2018 at the age 89.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Marcelle, and his children Donna Tremblay Berger, Ann Tremblay McDevitt, son-in-law, Jim McDevitt; son, David Tremblay and daughter-in-law, Ann King Tremblay. He will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, David, Allison, Emily, Caitlin, McKenzie, Jeremy, and Emma, and great-granddaughter, Ramona. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Tremblay Vachon and brothers, Roger Tremblay and Paul Tremblay.
A native of Lawrence, Don served in the US Air Force during the Korean War as a Communications Specialist.
In 1952 he began a 38-year career at AT&T where he was deeply involved in the Communication Workers of America Union, having served as President.
Throughout his life, Don enjoyed and participated in local, state and national politics.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend, Don was full of love for life and other people. He was known for his outgoing personality and great sense of humor that brought smiles to all who knew him.
