Doris A.'s Story

Text size

Doris A., Graham, 76, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2017, at Tufts Hospital. She was the daughter of Doris A. (Moulton) Clay and Linwood Clay, and also a beloved daughter of Elwood Thornton of Haverhill and Kingston, N.H.
At the time of her death, Doris (lovingly known as Dot or Aunt Dottie) had her chosen family of 58 years by her side. They included Sharon Keith, best friend of 58 years, as well as Elizabeth Kuhn (her Godchild), and Heather and William Keith.
Dottie was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Roy Graham of Arbroath, Scotland. Aunt Dottie leaves behind Douglas, Phillip, David, Amanda, Shawn, Brian, Sean, Molly, Olivia, James, and many friends.
The Grahams spent 10 years in Virginia and made many friends while there.
Dottie graduated from Essex Aggie and went on to become a hairdresser. She also worked as a supervisor at Reid-Meredith Wigs in Lawrence, Mass., and also worked for American Cleaners at AT&T and Bell Labs. She also cleaned houses.
She was a very loving and caring person and went out of her way for all the people she knew and met. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Goodbye, my friend, and thank you for the years we shared.
