BRADFORD - Edward P. Boksanski, 75, passed away August 11, 2019, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Ed was the eldest son of the late John and Helen Boksanski with older sister Irene (Rivard), and deceased younger brother Paul and little sister Marian. Ed was born, grew up and raised his own family in Haverhill. He was an avid fisherman and card player and was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Hearts, former Commodore of the Crescent Yacht Club and member of the Ridge Runners Club.

Ed worked for years in the shoe factories of Lawrence while also working a second or even third job. Ed was also employed by Wang Laboratories, Functional Coatings, and as a friendly dry cleaning delivery man for EZ-Way Cleaners.

Ed was an outstanding role model for his children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and family, and was beloved by all he met. Known for his dry sense of humor, keen intellect and easygoing demeanor, Ed was a special person who was always there for whoever needed him.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judith P. Boksanski (Hodges); sister Irene (Rivard); daughter Tricia and her child Taylor Prendeville of Bradford, Massachusetts; son Michael, his wife Bethany and their children Jeb and Ben of York, Maine; son Stephen, his wife Elizabeth and their children Ted and George of Winchester, Massachusetts; and son Peter, his wife Buffy and their children Malia, Murphy, and McCully of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Visiting hours will be Friday, August 16, 2019, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts, from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will begin Saturday morning in the funeral home at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions may be made in Ed's memory to the American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org.
