George J.'s Story
George Joseph LeSage, 77, of Derry, N.H., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his home. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., on October 4, 1940, a son of the late George and Marie (Hamel) Plant. George was raised and educated in North Andover, Mass. He worked for 14 years at Malden Mills as an all-around handyman. He was a member of the Atkinson Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. George also enjoyed checkers, chess and playing cards.
He is survived by his three children, Joseph LeSage of Salem, N.H., Penny-Jo LeSage and her boyfriend, Eddie Morin of Nashua, N.H., and Catherine Stone and her wife, Laura of Salem; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and 10 brothers and sisters, Al, Rosie, Lorraine, Armand, Blanch, Claire, Jimmy, Jackie, Henry, and Jeannette. He was predeceased by a daughter, Paula LeSage Erickson, in 2013 and the mother of his children, Beverly LeSage Jackson, in 2012.
Following Cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, with a service to begin at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
