METHUEN, MA - George J. "Pete" Levesque Jr., 66, of Methuen, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, surrounded by his loving family.
Pete was born in Methuen on June 29, 1951, the son of George J. and Rose A. (Huard) Levesque. He attended Tenney High School in Methuen. He worked for Converse Tire Rubber in Andover for over 10 years, then at Wang Laboratories Inc., in Tewksbury, for 10 years, and finally for the city of Methuen for two years. In his free time, he loved fishing, boating, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and playing 45s. He especially loved NASCAR. Pete was a thoughtful, compassionate, and giving person.
Pete will be deeply missed by his wife of 44 years, Gail A. Thomson of Methuen; two sisters, Dottie M. Levesque of Methuen and Claire M. Chretien of Methuen; and two nephews, Michael Levesque of Lawrence and David Chretien of Lowell.
He was preceded in death by his best friend Frank Cloyd and his wife, and his godson Devin Cloyd.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Pete's life by gathering for his calling hours on Monday, March 12, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. His funeral service will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
