Gertrude (Trudy)'s Story
SAN DIEGO, CA - Trudy Mulligan was born February 16, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY. She died peacefully at Kaiser Hospital, San Diego, Calif., on December 20, with her daughter, Karen, and her son, Kevin, at her side. Her death was the result of complications from a very short bout with Pneumonia. Trudy was the daughter of the late Edward Joseph Murray and Ada Sullivan Murray. She and her husband, Bob, lived in Andover for a short time during the 1960s. She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Doherty of Methuen, and Karen Linarelli of San Diego, Calif.; and sons, Kevin Mulligan of Castle Rock, Colo., Tim Mulligan of Portland, Ore., and Dan Mulligan of Methuen. She was predeceased by her husband, Deacon Michael Robert (Bob) Mulligan; son, Michael Mulligan; and daughters, Laura and Diane Mulligan. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Lenore Mould and Maureen Gaskin, predeceased her, and she is survived by her 90-year-old sister, Bobbi Maline.
Services in San Diego have been arranged by Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home for Friday, February 16, which would have been Trudy's 95th Birthday. A memorial mass will be held in Methuen on Saturday, January 20, at 8 a.m., at St. Monica Church.
