LAWRENCE - Inez C. "Ina" (Davidson) Schwartz, 90, of Lawrence, passed away February 1, at Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born in Boston, on December 21, 1927, daughter of the late Phillip and Lillian (Shavitsky) Davidson.
Ina graduated Lawrence High School with great distinction, and then the Boston School for Dental Assistants. She worked for many years as a dental assistant in Lawrence.
Ina had a passion for medical issues. She was a faithful viewer of Untold Stories of the Emergency Room, volunteered at Lawrence General Hospital for a total of 4400 hours, and listened to everybody's medical issues. Baking was another passion, especially when the ingredients were apples or chocolate chips.
She was the wife of the late William Schwartz, who passed in 2009, and mother of the late Alan Schwartz, who passed in 2013.
Her survivors include a daughter, Elinor J. Schwartz, and her husband, Bruce Labitt, of Nashua, N.H.; her brother, Michael Davidson, and his wife, Mary, of New York, N.Y.; her sisters, Vera Flint, of Staunton, Va., and Jeanne Zeller, and her husband, Phillip, of Lowell, Mass.; two granddaughters, Rachael Labitt, and her husband, Avner Finberg, of Ithaca, N.Y., and Alyssa Labitt, of Philadelphia, Pa.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral on Monday, February 5, at 9:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond St. Nashua, NH. Interment will follow in the Children of Abraham Cemetery, Lawrence, Mass. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford - Haverhill. A memorial observance will be held at her daughter's home on Monday following the burial, and Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:30. Contributions in her memory may be made to the donor's choice.
