Jaime Ricardo's Story
Jaime Ricardo Mera, age 57, of Haverhill, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was the devoted husband of 32 years to Matilde (Berroa) Mera.
Born in Panama on November 23, 1959, he was the son of Ricardo Mera and Julie Chute and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.
For many years Jaime worked as a machine operator at various companies. He last worked at Milipore Medical Equipment Company in Bedford.
In addition to his loving wife, Matilde, he is survived by a son, Enzo Mera; daughters, Alexandra, wife of Jaime Ortolaza, and Camila Mera; and grandson, Enzo Mera Jr., all of Haverhill. He is also survived by his mother, Julie Chute of Haverhill, brothers, Javier Mera of California and Charles Chute of Haverhill; sisters, Mereland Dumais of Virginia and Estella Chute of Haverhill, along with several nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by an older brother, George Chute.
Although he is now departed, Jaime has left behind countless tender memories that can never be taken away from those he has loved throughout his life.
Visiting hours at the Monument Square Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, will be Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill.
