Jane's Story

HAVERHILL- Jane Keefe, 84 of Salem, NH passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Penacook Place, Haverhill. She was born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late James F. and Exilda M. (Tardif) O'Leary. She graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1951 and later graduated from the Chandler School in Boston, Class of 1952.
Jane worked as a secretary for Pentucket 5 Cent Savings Bank, for Schiavoni and Cirome Attorneys at Law and for Western Electric. She enjoyed bowling as well as ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling in her early years with her girlfriends and later with her husband of nearly 40 years. Jane and her husband Joe both enjoyed golfing with their regular golf buddies and enjoyed watching golf and the Patriots football games. She also belonged to the Bradford Swim Club for many years as well as the Workout Club in Salem.
Jane was predeceased by her husband; Joseph L. Keefe in 2007 and by her aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Laurie Ebacher as well as their daughter, Jane's cousin; Dianne (Ebacher) Vaughn. Jane leaves behind Dianne's husband; Robert Vaughn and their three sons; Austin and Jennifer Vaughn and their daughter; Morgan Elizabeth Vaughn of Huntersville, NC, Brendon Vaughn and his two sons; Drew Vaughn and Declan Vaughn of West Bridgewater and Garrett and Katelyn Vaughn and their two daughters, Ava Vaughn and Ella Vaughn of East Bridgewater. She also leaves her cousin; Roger Ebacher of Amesbury and two very close friends; Marie Mahoney of Merrimac, MA and Lillian and Joseph Nicolosi of Haverhill.
Following cremation a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Mary Queen of Peace, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem at a date to be determined. The family would like to thank Penacook Place, Beacon Hospice, Greystone Farm and Sutton Hill Center for all their loving care given to Jane through the years.
