Jane M.'s Story
Jane M. (London) Perry of Salem, N.H., formerly a longtime resident of Lynn, passed away peacefully after a brief illness in the Lawrence General Hospital on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the age of 70.
Born in Lynn, Jane was the daughter of the late Dr. Clarence London and Pauline (Helprin) London. She was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School with the class of 1964.
On July 2, 1966, Jane married the love of her life, Russell W. Perry and the couple settled in Lynn to begin their lives together. Jane and Russell spent over 45 years in marriage and love together until Russell’s passing in November of 2011. Jane was a longtime employee as a custodian, working within the building of Lynn City Hall for over 20 years until her retirement in 2009. She was a one-time member of Local 193, Council 93, 1736 of Lynn, a union for civil service employees. In her spare time, Jane could be found bowling the lanes of Lucky Strike with her friends or even making her way to Foxwoods to play the slots. Her loving nature will be missed by all who were in her life.
Jane leaves her children, Robin Perry-Russo of Lynn, Jeff R. Perry and his wife, Dianne of Salem, N.H., and Paul F. Perry and his wife, Erin Doherty of Danvers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Perry, Lissa E. Perry, and Jillian R. Perry, all of Salem, N.H.; her brother, Robert London of No. Attleboro; her brothers-in-law, John F. Perry and James Perry; and her sister-in-law, Janet Mulready, all of Lynn. Jane also leaves nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Thursday, August 3, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
