Jean R. (Kozdra)'s Story
Jean R. (Kozdra) Rossi, 73, of Londonderry, formerly of Methuen, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lawrence on January 4, 1944, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Prenaveau) Kozdra. Jean was educated in the Methuen Schools and was a graduate of Methuen High School. She worked for many years at Earnshaw Inc. before becoming an Insurance Claims Specialist where she also worked for many years.
Jean was an amazing woman who always put everyone else’s needs and wants before her own. Her strength and huge heart were second to none and her love for her family was undeniable. Anyone that knew her could consider themselves blessed to know that they had met a real life angel. She will be missed every second of every day.
She loved to travel; she went to Aruba every year and she traveled to Williamsburg, Va., and the Carolina's, and as she would go from state to state, she would collect spoons and had quite a collection. Jean enjoyed occasional trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She especially loved to spend time with her family and loved to help others.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate, William Rossi of Londonderry, N.H.; her daughter, Mary F. Moschetto-Scholl and her husband, Patrick of Lawrence, Mass.; her son, Frank Moschetto and his fiancé, Katie Lannan of Nashua, N.H.; step-children, Elizabeth Rossi and Tommy Rossi; her brothers, Joe Kozdra, Gary Kozdra and Kenny Kozdra; her sisters, Carol Kozdra and Gail Lorenzo.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and several cousins; and special aunt, Gertrude Earnshaw.
Special thanks to Melissa, who is a big part of our family, for her love support and strength through this difficult time.
Jean was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Provencal.
