NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Jeffrey Curtin Houston, age 33, passed away on February 22, 2018, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by friends and family, who gave him the send off he would've wanted - filled with stories, laughter, tears and love (and wine, or course).
Jeff grew up in North Andover, Mass., and was the son of Paula Curtin Houston and Bob Houston; middle brother to Rob and Tim Houston. He starred in many plays and musicals at North Andover High School, and gave outstanding performances in "Anything Goes," "Guys and Dolls," and several Shakespeare plays. He attended Marietta College, where he studied Advertising and Public Relations. Jeff worked as a Senior Director of National Accounts for Western Union.
Among Jeff's favorite hobbies were drinking white wine (lots of ice), watching Bravo TV, traveling to warm places in the winter, writing Yelp reviews, and making his friends and family laugh until we cried. We assume that when Jeff arrived at the pearly gates, he said, "I will take one tour, and one rum punch." He will always be remembered as the life of the party, the most beautiful bride at Emma and Kyle's wedding, and the sweet boy with whom we've shared so many memories.
Jeff is survived by many, as he was taken too early. This includes many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Clearly, there must be a sass shortage in heaven - or "unlimited Gold Fevah Wings from the 99."
The wake will be held at the Conte Funeral Home (17 3rd Street, North Andover, MA) on Tuesday, February 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at the North Parish Church (190 Academy Road, North Andover, Mass.) on Wednesday, February 28, at 11 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Human Rights Campaign, www.hrc.org.
