Jerome L.'s Story
Jerome L. Bauder (Jerry), 80, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late A. William and Anna (Nyboer) Bauder. He received his bachelor’s degree in business and management from the University of Maryland. He also attended graduate schools at the Federal Executive Institute and the Armed Forces Staff College. His career spanned 35 years and many places. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jerry worked for the U.S. Department of Defense for over 35 years retiring as Director of QA & Flight Operations, Boston, Mass. During his career, he traveled the world extensively and his love for travel continued into retirement. He especially enjoyed going on cruises where he could see new places and meet new people.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Geraldine (Durand) Bauder who passed away in 1998; he was also predeceased by his brother, Eugene, and his sister, Doris O’Hara.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Delma, (Hill) Reagan Bauder of Salisbury; three daughters, Cheryl Laufersweiler and her husband, Gregg of Derry, Catherine Scribner of South Carolina, and Annette Leveille and her husband, Dennis of Salem; his son, David Bauder of Ohio; his stepchildren, George Reagan and his wife, Debbie of Boscawen, Robin Heins and her husband, Rick of Concord, Brenda Ramsdell and her husband, Gary of Barrington, and Fred Reagan and his wife, Andrea of Boscawen; 27 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. John’s Church, 72 South Main Street, Concord.
Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
