GROVELAND, MA - Jimetta Cecila Nahil, 95, of Nichols Village, Groveland, Mass., passed away peacefully on February 7, 2018, as a result of complications from pneumonia at High Pointe House, Merrimack Valley Hospice, in Haverhill, Mass. Jimetta was born in Danbury, Conn., the daughter of the late William Joseph Najam and his wife Marshy (Davis) Najam. She was a graduate of Methuen High School, Methuen, Mass., and the Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing, in Quincy, Mass. She was born in Danbury, Conn., and was married for almost 50 years to the late Fred J. Nahil, M.D. Jimetta was one of the founders of the Georgetown Country Garden Club, in Georgetown, Mass. She loved golf, bridge, bingo, and being a grandmother.
Jimetta is survived by two of her children, Fred J. Nahil Jr., (Ted) and his wife, Terry, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; and Lorna Ann Nahil, of Holly Springs, N.C. She leaves two grandchildren as well, Kristen Nahil Register, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., and Jonathan Khoury Nahil, of Lone Tree, Colo.; along with four great-grandchildren, Jack and Josh Register, and Kylie and Brooklyn Nahil. In addition, Jimetta is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Jenkins, of Manchester, N.H., her brother, William J. Najam, of Danbury, Conn., and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred, and daughter, attorney Lisa Ann Nahil, of Bradford, Mass.
Private funeral services are under the direction of Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Burial will be at the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the High Pointe Hospice House, c/o Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, MA 01843.
