Joan A.'s Story
Joan A. (Michel) Gallo, 77, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Friday July 14, 2017, at Prescott House, North Andover, with her family by her side.
Joan was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of Henry and Ida (Ouellette) Michel, and was the widow of Peter C. Gallo whom she shared 54 loving years of marriage.
Joan was raised and educated in Lawrence was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and spent wonderful years raising her daughters and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow over the years. Joan loved her trips to the local casinos with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria J. Chester and her husband, John of Haverhill and Lisa Gallo-Maroon and her husband, Joseph of Methuen. Joan also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Lisa Marsoobian and her husband, Doug, John Chester, IV and his wife, Ashley, Marc DiFruscia, and Krista Maroon; and her three great-grandchildren, Luke, Mikaela, and Johnny. Joan also leaves her sisters, Barbara Fitzgerald, Janice Thompson, Terry Lombari, and Eileen Higgins; along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Council Parish / St. Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, 6 Woodland St., Methuen.
