John Fram, 87, a lifelong resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on September 5 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
John was born April 19, 1930 in Methuen to the late George and Rose Garafolo Fram. He was married for over 50 years to Anne Alcarese Fram who predeceased him. John and Anne were very outgoing and experienced all the activities the Merrimack Valley area had to offer and spent their lives together enjoying the company of friends and family. John owned and operated Fram’s Auto in Methuen and had a natural instinct to repair almost anything mechanical and was always fascinated with developing automotive technology. He enjoyed people and was born with a deep kindness and generosity.
He leaves several relatives in the area. He will be sadly missed by his Godchild, Ann Kalil, who lovingly cared for him and his true friend and attentive neighbor, Bernard Rastello. A special thank you to the Mary Immaculate caregivers who daily attended to John in such a loving, caring way.
Services will be privately held. A date for a Mass of a Celebration of Life for John will be determined at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
