Flagstaff, AZ - John died unexpectedly from heart failure at the Flagstaff Medical Center on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
He was born in Lawrence, Mass., on April 25, 1951, the son of the late Philip F. Watson and Kathryn (Callahan) Watson.
John graduated from North Andover High School in 1969, and graduated from Salem State College in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
John worked for Gold Circuit Electronics as an Account Manager in San Jose, Calif., for 20 years. John leaves close friends in California, including his longtime friend, CEO of Gold Circuit Electronics, Peter Rowegal of Nahant, Mass.
John enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his 1995 Mustang that he lovingly restored to pristine condition.
John’s survivors are his wife Sandra (Iwanicki) Watson of Mayo, Fla.; his sister Phylis Watson of Methuen; his nieces Cara Seaman and her husband Jeffrey of Methuen, Kathryn Lapierre and her husband Randall of Hooksett, N.H.; his great-nephews Brayden Seaman of Methuen, and Philip, Felix, and Calvin Lapierre of Hooksett, N.H. John adored his nieces and great-nephews and was proud of their accomplishments. John is survived by his cousins Anne Leger and her husband Robert of Haverhill; Vincent Dolan and his wife Colleen, and William Callahan all of Methuen; Patricia Cain and her husband Richard of North Andover; Michael and his wife, Mary of Tennessee; and Ellen O’Toole of Kittery Point, Maine.
Conte Funeral Home, 17 3rd Street, North Andover, MA. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Following the visitation, burial will be at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in North Andover.
