Jonathan S.'s Story
Jonathan S. Stankatis, 40, of Northfield, N.H., died at his home August 8, 2017.
He was born in Boston, Mass., on March 18, 1977, and spent most of his childhood in Danville and Canterbury, N.H. Jonathan was a timber contractor and worked very hard over the years building a successful company. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and trapping. His true passion was sharing his love and knowledge of the outdoors with his family and friends, especially his daughter, Kaylin.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaylin Stankatis; his mother, Carole Stankatis of Canterbury; brother, Gregory Stankatis and his wife, Janet of Washington State, Jeffrey Stankatis and Holly Sirois of Belmont; sister, Stephanie Galambos and husband, Steve of Canterbury, Ally and Lizzy; his lifelong canine companions, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald A. Stankatis, who passed in 2015.
Jon was a kind, loving, compassionate, man who touched the lives of many people through his generosity and his willingness always to lend a hand.
Carol Stankatis will have a Celebration of Jon’s life at the Stankatis Farm on Saturday, Aug. 19, starting at 2 p.m. (64 Wilson Rd., Canterbury) for those who knew him and loved him.
