NEEDHAM, MA - Joseph King, 74, of Needham, Mass., and formerly of Salem, N.H., and Riverside, R.I., died January 12, 2018, surrounded by his family. Born in Providence, R.I., Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Mullett) King. He was a veteran of the USAF during Vietnam War. The most important thing in His life was his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He also had such a great group of friends that helped him love life to the fullest. He was a dedicated member of Charlesgate Yacht Club. Joe will be most remembered for his infectious laugh and humble personality. He was an avid Boston sports fan and particularly loved the Boston College Women's Hockey Team and watching his grandchildren at their events. He was involved as a coach in youth hockey, Little league and softball in Salem, N.H. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his children, David and Jillian (Langord) King, Katie (King) and Ted Crowley; and his grandchildren, Shane, Jolen, and Camryn. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Sanborn; niece, Lynne Steffen; and nephew, Richard Stodulski. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 21, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA.
