Joseph Leo's Story
Joseph Lee Fournier, 81, of Pelham died peacefully Wednesday, November 22, in the presence of family. Born on May 10, 1936, in Beverly, Mass., to George and Marguerite (Lake) Fournier, Joe’s family included his sister, Janice Collins of Delaware; his brothers, James D. Fournier of Fitzwilliam, and predeceased brother, John Fournier of Milford. He was a proud Navy Veteran during the Korean War era. After serving, he attended Northeastern University, followed by a career as a draftsman, CAD/CAM designer, technical operator and consultant.
Joe is survived by his wife, Janice Lee (McGinnis); their daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Paul of Sandown; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; their daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Paul of New York City, and three children. In addition, he predeceases his brother-in-law, Willard McGinnis and wife, Phyllis, and a niece.
A memorial service will be held at the Pelham VFW in the spring. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to John H. Hargreaves Memorial Post 10722 VFW, 6 Main Street, Pelham, NH 03076.
