June M. (Shugrue)'s Story
June M. (Shugrue) Iasimone, 82, wife of the late Ralph A. Iasimone who passed away in July, passed away October 27, 2017, at Holy Family at Merrimack Valley Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Cadorette) Shugrue. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1953. June was employed as a Quality Control Tester at Lucent Technologies. While Ralph Sr. enjoyed his role as head of the household, June was the heart and soul of the family selflessly taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her husband and friends. June loved family gatherings and holidays, especially on her favorite holiday, Christmas. She was known for her cooking at all the holidays and gatherings. June enjoyed working in her yard tending to her flower gardens. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
June is survived by her children, Ralph A. Iasimone, Jr. and his wife, Sheilah (Montefalco) of Avon, Lisa M. Iasimone-Jones of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Matthew, Madelaine, Megan Scanlon, Tiffany Simione, Ashley Jones; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Aubrey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, George “Bunny” Shugrue, and sister, Shirley Smith.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 1, from 4 until 6:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
