Andover, MA - Kathleen Lynn O'Connor of Boston, MA, passed away following a brief illness. Kathy was born in Stevens Point, WI, and moved with her family to Andover, MA, while she was in grade school. She attended Andover High School and graduated with honors, receiving the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Scholarship. She attended Cornell University for a year then transferred to and graduated from Tufts. She also earned an MBA from Simmons. Kathy spent her career working as a marketing executive. Later, she helped to care for her parents. Kathy enjoyed visiting Crane and Plum Island beaches and taking advantage of the cultural and culinary highlights that Boston and Cambridge had to offer. She loved to cook for and entertain family and friends, who enjoyed the delicious and elegant repasts she prepared. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Hal and Rosemary (Cassidy) O'Connor, of Andover, MA. She leaves behind siblings Bert O'Connor of Andover, MA; Barbara (O'Connor) and husband Jim Hayes of Merrimac, MA; Ellen O'Connor of Gloucester, MA; and niece Kathryn Gustafson of Boston, MA, along with her aunt Jeanne Shedler of Harlingen, TX, and many cousins. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held in the coming months. Contributions in Kathy's name can be made to the Boston Public Library or to the American Diabetes Association.

We are deeply sadden to hear of Kathy's passing. You have our heart warm condolences. We all talk about how short life can be and hear is another example. We send our love and prayers and hope you remember all the fun you experienced with your sister.
