BRADFORD, MA - Kenneth H Chadwick, 88, of Bradford, Mass., died at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the farm in Sangerville, Maine, losing the long brutal battle against his illness.
He was born on August 11, 1930, to Everett and Barbara Chadwick in Haverhill, Mass.
Ken served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1950s. Ken was a life-long machinist and welder. Ken was an active member of the American Legion, Free Mason, West Boxford Grange, and Knights Templar/Haverhill Commandary. Ken enjoyed a nice tractor, a woodstove fire, and a well-made cocktail.
He married Jane Leighton on Thanksgiving Day in 1951. They are survived by two children, Kenneth and his wife, Bonny Chadwick of Dexter, Maine, and Phillip and his wife, Wendy Chadwick of Hampstead, N.H.; a granddaughter, Elisha; a great-granddaughter, Tayler; a sister, Judith Chadwick of Boston, Mass.; a nephew and several cousins.
Ken was predeceased by his wife, Jane Chadwick, and his sister, Patricia Chadwick.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend graveside services Saturday April 14 at 1:00 p.m. Brookside Cemetery 540 Main Street, Boxford Mass. and the celebration of life following at 2:00 p.m. at Second Congregational Church 173 Washington Street, Boxford Mass.
