Kevin A. MacLeod

Kevin A. MacLeod Merrimac, MA - On, December 4, 2018, Kevin A. MacLeod, loving and devoted husband and father, passed away at the age of 83.
Kevin was born on February 18, 1935, in Haverhill, Mass., to Richard and Alberta (Trottier) MacLeod. Kevin graduated from Haverhill High School and went on to serve as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserve. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for six years before working as a Cost Analyst at BTU for over 40 years. Kevin married Gwendolyn in 1958 and had six children.
With a love for the outdoors, Kevin had a passion for camping, boating, and fishing, all of which he enjoyed doing together with his wife. Kevin was known for his quick wit and extra corny jokes. He loved to read and share family stories together over good food and drinks. He spent many summers at Mi-Te-Jo Campground with family and friends. An avid car enthusiast, Kevin was most happy when cruising in his purple Plymouth Prowler roadster.
Kevin was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn MacLeod; his daughter, Deborah Fitzpatrick; his son, Daniel MacLeod and his brother, Richard MacLeod. He is survived by his four children, David MacLeod and his wife, Carol, Darryl MacLeod and his wife, Kimberly, Dana MacLeod and his wife, Lori, and Denise Gallant and her husband, Michael; son-in-law, Michael Fitzpatrick and daughter-in-law, Diane MacLeod. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Flowers are welcome; contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visiting hours will be Friday, December 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Monument Square Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services at funeral home will be Saturday, December 8, at 10 a.m., followed by the burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford, Mass. The family would like to invite you to join them for a celebration of life at the Haverhill County Club in Haverhill.

I send my condolences to all. Kevin always made smile and sometimes shake my head at the trouble he said Paul got into. I smile now knowing how happy he is seeing Qwen again. He’ll have an all new audience to tell his fish stories to now. Prayers for all who grieve.
