Lemuel D. Smith, Jr., 74, of Danville, N.H., passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Exeter Hospital.
Mr. Smith was the son of Lemuel D. Smith, Sr. and his wife, Marion.
He was born in New Brunswick, Canada on July 10, 1943.
Lemuel came to Lawrence, Massachusetts and worked as a tree surgeon; he was one of the best around. He also worked as a landscaper, night club owner, and tuna fisherman.
He ended his career at Malden Mills as a textile worker. He was also one tough SOB.
Lemuel is survived by his children, Teresa A. Smith-Parker and her husband, James Parker of Danville, N.H., Bruce W. Smith of Danville, N.H., Christine McCormack, Danielle Waugh and her husband, Barry Waugh. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Merritt of Grafton, N.H., Kathleen Morales, Elizabeth West, Margaret and her husband, Ghislain Daigle of Grafton, N.H.; and his brothers, Hiram Smith and his wife, Rita of Methuen, Mass., and Dean Smith of Windham, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to a Memorial Service on Thursday, August 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH.
