Leo J.'s Story
Leo J. Leonard, 58, husband of Linda (Barnard) Leonard, passed away October 4, 2017, at Carney Hospital in Boston with his loving family by his side.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of Warren and Virginia (Caron) Leonard. Raised and educated in Beverly, he was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1977. Leo was employed for the past 12 years for the City of Haverhill as a bus monitor. He also worked at the Burger King at Gloucester Crossing in Beverly. Leo was an avid sports fan, following the Bruins, Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He will be remembered as a loving and caring soul with a positive attitude. His favorite song was “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Leo loved to travel and ventured to Las Vegas, driving the entire way. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
In addition to his loving wife, Linda, he is survived by his children, Richard W. King, Jr. of Haverhill, Caroline R. Noiles and her husband, Raymond Noiles, Jr. of Haverhill; his brother, John M. Leonard of Beverly; two grandchildren, Jessica M. King and Richard W. King, III; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Dominic; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 12, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
