Leonard's Story

NORTH ANDOVER - Leonard H. Nussbaum Jr. passed away on March 1, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Lawrence on July 4, 1942 to Leonard H. Nussbaum Sr. and Charlotte (Gammons) Nussbaum.
Lenny worked at Wang Laboratories as an inspector prior to his retirement.
He could always be found at Dunkin Donuts in North Andover sharing funny stories, jokes and talking sports.
Lenny loved being with his family and always enjoyed hearing about what his great nieces and great nephews were doing.
He was a true "Townie" and funny guy who always had a smile on his face. Everybody that knew him, loved him and he was a friend to all. Lenny was one of the best and will be sorely missed by all.
Lenny's surviving family members include his sister, Marilyn Mangano, brother George and his wife Clara and Ellen Burke; nieces and nephews, Nicky Mangano and his wife Debbie, Lenny Mangano and his wife, Ann, Maria Messina and her husband Domenic, George Nussbaum and his wife Coleen, Scott Nussbaum and his wife Melissa, Lisa Workman and her husband, Tod, Katie Nichols and her husband Derek. Also, many great nieces and great-nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at the Conte Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA, at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, Massachusetts or St. Jude's Children's Fund.
