NORTH ANDOVER, MAS - Loretta Toussaint Devlin, 90, of North Andover, Mass. Former longtime resident of Andover, died Wednesday February 28, 2018, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass. She was born in Lawrence, and was the daughter of the late Prudent and Palmire Labrecque Toussaint. Loretta was a 1946 graduate of Punchard High School, Andover, Mass. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. Loretta attended St. Robert Bellarmine Parish for over 50 years, where she was a greeter.
Loretta was the wife of the late James A. Devlin, who died in June, 2000. She is survived by her children, daughter Susan wife of John Monteiro of Freedom, N.H., son Timothy and his wife Concha Devlin of Tyngsborough, Mass., son Thomas and his wife Joan of Methuen, Mass., and daughter Kellie wife of Brian Feeney of Winchendon, Mass. Six grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Monteiro, Magaly Devlin, Kaitlyn Haggerty and Kristen Stott and Sean Feeney. Five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Amedee and Gerard Toussaint, and sister Rita DuBois.
There will be no calling hours, however, relatives and friends are invited to a memorial Mass on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Andover, Mass.
It was Loretta's wish to donate her body to UMass Medical School, Anatomical Gift Program in Worcester, Mass. Upon completion of this study, she will be buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, in a private ceremony.
Donations in Loretta's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
