BRENTWOOD, NH - Lorraine G. DeHullu, age 90, former longtime resident of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at home in Brentwood, N.H. Lorraine was born in Waltham on January 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Ethel L. (Peterson) Palmer. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. She played drums in the Drum & Bugle Corps. During WWII she worked for Sylvania and later for G.E. River Works. She always enjoyed working with her hands and enjoyed all kinds of crafts. Her favorite hobbies were sewing and dancing. Lorraine later started her own decorating business, specializing in custom drapery. In 1976 she moved to Plaistow, N.H.
She was predeceased by her husband, George DeHullu, and her son, Paul McAndrews, Jr. She is survived by a loving family including her brother, Wayne Palmer of Tennessee; step-daughter and husband, Antoinette and Richard Heider of Plaistow, N.H.; two granddaughters, Deborah Farinella of Dracut, Mass., and Lisha McAndrews of Londonderry, N.H.; niece and caregiver for the past 12 years, Laurie Stimson of Brentwood, N.H.; step-granddaughter, Andrea Farrington of Woodstock, Vt.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. DeHullu's visitation on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
