Malcolm's Story

HAVERHILL - Malcolm C. Minkle, 85, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Rafferty) Minkle.
Malcolm was born in Haverhill, December 28, 1932 the son of the late Albert and Alice (Demeritt) Minkle.
He was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and grew up attending local schools. Malcolm honorably served in The United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Rosengard & Hale Furniture, Brentwood Furniture in Haverhill and later Tech Coating Company in Haverhill before retiring in 1984. Malcolm was a member of the VFW Lorraine Post 29 in Haverhill and coached little-league baseball in Haverhill. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, wood working and was an avid fan of all New England sports teams. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Malcolm is survived by his three sisters, Madeline Hale, Charlotte Costarides and Betty Beam all of Haverhill. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, friends and his companion Mary Murphy of Haverhill. The family would like to thank the caring staff at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill.
