Margaret Rita (Turco) Giarrusso, 99, of Methuen passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Prescott House in North Andover. She was born in Lawrence, the daughter of Michael and Maria (Vitale) Turco. Raised and educated in Methuen, Margaret was a graduate of Methuen High School. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence and was an avid Red Sox fan, though her most important passion was her family and her late husband, Anthony Giarrusso. She enjoyed being the matriarch of a large family that includes her two children, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. When she had a moment to herself she would love to shop or catch her favorite shows on the television. Margaret was a union leader at one point and retired from her working career with Honeywell, Inc. in Lawrence.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Karen Hill and her husband, Terry of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Deborah Cicchetto and her husband, Mark of Methuen; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday, November 6, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
