Marion (Chaprales)'s Story
Marion (Chaprales) Colman, a resident of Andover, and beloved wife of the late Christo Colman, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on November 11, 2017, after a long battle with ALS.
Born in Somerville, Marion was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Vasiliou) Chaprales.
Marion was a life-long teacher and a proud member of the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association as well as the United Teachers of Lowell. She was very active in the Greek Orthodox Church and will be best remembered for her love of gardening and Greek cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marion is survived by her brother, James Chaprales of Belmont, Mass.; and sisters, Catherine McHugh of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Virginia Lay of Lincoln, Mass., and Adriana Donahue of Andover, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles and John Chaprales.
Her Funeral service will be celebrated in Sts. Constantine & Helen Church, 71 Chandler Road, Andover, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
