Marlene E. (Comeau) FitzGerald, aka the best Nana, 84, wife of the late Philip D. FitzGerald, passed away October 26, 2017, at High Pointe House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Maurice J. and Susan M. (Munroe) Comeau. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1950. Marlene was employed at the former Hale Hospital for many years as a Union Agent and also worked in the Admitting Office until her retirement in 1999. She volunteered at St. John the Baptist Church and was a "tuck in" volunteer for Merrimack Valley Hospice. Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and doting grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and anyone else who needed a Nana. Marlene walked with God and was thankful for every day, even the not so great ones. Her exuberance for life brought laughter, love, hope and hugs. Such a bright light in this world, Marlene will be sorely missed by her family and friends. "Well done good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of your Master" Matt:25:21.
