Mary A. (Brown)'s Story

Mary A. (Brown) Adams, 83, passed away November 8, 2017, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. Brown, Jr. and Harriet A. (Paul) Brown. Mary was raised and educated in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1952. She was employed for many years at Lucent as a Layout Operator and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Mary was an avid bowler, enjoyed knitting and was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her love for her family. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her children, Doreen Sciuto and her husband, Jim of Haverhill, Dennis Adams of Haverhill, Lynne Brooks and her husband, Mark of E. Hampstead, N.H., David Adams and his wife, Debbie of Haverhill, Lisa Pond and her husband, Kevin of Haverhill, Gary Adams and his fiancée, Linda of Bradford; long-time companion, Walter Turgeon; her siblings, Les Brown of Bradford, Gerald Brown and his wife, Mary of Haverhill, Ralph Brown and his wife, Ellen of Haverhill, Robert Brown and his partner, Ron Bergeron of Ogunquit, Maine, Paula St. Jean and her husband, Joseph of Kingston, N.H., Fay Belanger and her husband, Steve of Plaistow, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Brown.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Mary’s life on Tuesday, November 14, at 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
