Mary A.'s Story
Mary A. (Vartabedian) Mooradian, 85, of Haverhill passed away October 12, 2017, at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
She was born in Chelsea, Mass., on Aug. 10, 1932, daughter of the late Hovsep and Bayzar (Kasabian) Vartabedian.
Educated in the Andover school system, Mrs. Mooradian graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1951.
Mary was a strong woman with a strong sense of family who had deep community ties. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling with her late husband, George, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren, often spoiling them with trips to Friendly’s. Mary loved Armenian dances and picnics and will be remembered as a proud Armenian woman who was always kind and loving. Prior to her retirement, she last worked at Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill. She was a member of the Armenian Apostolic Church Hye Pointe in Haverhill.
Mary was the wife of the late George J. Mooradian who died in 2004 and is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. and her husband, Vincent Maniscalco of Bradford; her brother, Albert Vartabedian of Andover; her sister, Alice and her husband, Rocco Randazzo of New Windsor, N.Y.; grandchildren, Joseph and April; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles and Jack Vartabedian.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday Oct. 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
